Valentine's Day in August

We do this because our anniversary is 5 days after February 14th. I didn't like combining the two events, and felt like I was being robbed a special day. So, Paul & I decided to move V-Day exactly 6 months after the original holiday, falling on August 14th. It's worked out very well. When we buy an anniversary card for each other in February, we also get a V-day card and save it for 6 months. It also gives us a chance to have a guaranteed date twice a year, and those of us with kids, we all know date night isn't always every Friday night.
